As a highly qualified and dedicated professional, I am committed to delivering effective counseling services to individuals, couples, families, teenagers, and to all people of diversity. My mission is rooted in a deep passion for helping people, striving to empower clients and guide them towards healthier, more fulfilling lives.

With an illustrious career spanning over 40 years in education, I have dedicated myself as a mentor, teacher, administrator, and counselor, accumulating a wealth of experience that enriches my counseling practice. Additionally, I am a competent and compassionate faith-based counselor, incorporating this approach when welcomed by clients, and respecting the diverse spiritual dimensions they bring to the therapeutic journey.

Possessing a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and holding the designation of a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Florida, I bring a solid foundation of expertise to my practice. Furthermore, my commitment to education is exemplified by my current pursuit of a PhD in Counseling and Psychological Studies with a concentration in Marriage and Families from Regent University. This ongoing educational commitment ensures that my clients benefit from the most up-to-date and evidence-based approaches in the field.

At the heart of my counseling approach is the endeavor to build a robust therapeutic relationship, providing a safe, non-judgmental space for clients to explore their concerns. Recognizing the uniqueness of each individual, couple, or family, I tailor interventions to meet their specific needs. My eclectic and holistic approach encompasses modalities such as CBT, DBT, EMDR, Solution Focused Therapy, Structural and Strategic Family Therapy, Attachment Theory, and others, adapted as necessary.

It is my belief that I possess extensive experience addressing a diverse range of concerns. My approach acknowledges the intricate interplay between mental, emotional, and relational well-being. By delving into the underlying dynamics of relationships and exploring patterns impacting life, we collaboratively develop healthier coping strategies, enhance communication skills, and foster personal growth. Throughout your unique journey, I am here to provide unwavering support every step of the way.

Liza Jean, RMHI

Do you find yourself wanting to make changes in your life, but keep falling into the same patterns and behaviors, or maybe you’ve tried to make changes, but things still feel heavy or uncertain?

You’re not alone, and it makes sense that you’re feeling this way. Life can be incredibly hard sometimes, especially when you’re doing your best to grow and still feel stuck. I believe healing is possible—and that it begins with small, brave steps.

Your story matters, and it’s never too late to begin again. You are worthy of healing, growth, and a life where you feel whole and truly seen, even if it doesn’t feel that way right now. I’d be honored to walk alongside you on that journey because I believe your story isn’t over.

Hi, I’m Liza Jean Meyers, a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern.

I offer a calm, compassionate space to explore your experiences. Let’s start to gently uncover what may be keeping you stuck in order for you to reconnect with your inner world and begin to make sense of your story.

My therapeutic approach is rooted in compassion and curiosity, integrating Internal Family Systems (IFS), Attachment Theory, and Narrative Therapy, to help you better understand your inner world and gently move toward the person you were always meant to be.
